Staff Specialist in General Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine John Hunter Children's Hospital Permanent Part Time 0.4 FTE John Hunter Children's Hospital is seeking an experienced General Paediatrician to provide services that are safe, effective, evidence-based, and patient-centered. This role involves providing specialist paediatric services to inpatients admitted under the Eating Disorders Team, conducting regular paediatric outpatient clinics, and participating in the acute general paediatric on-call roster. The successful applicant will have an interest in eating disorders and Adolescent Medicine and recent experience in the management of young people with eating disorders.
Eligibility criteria A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of RACP, and/or overseas trained specialist pathwaysEvidence of training and experience in general paediatric medicine, including both inpatient and outpatient care of children and young peopleEvidence of recent work experience in the management of children and adolescents with eating disordersAbout us John Hunter Children's Hospital in Newcastle is one of three children's hospitals in NSW, we see almost 25,000 children and young people in our emergency department and admit over 10,000 children and young people to hospital per year.
