The position will be based at the W.P. Holman Clinic in Launceston providing inpatient and outpatient care. It will also provide outreach outpatient services to the North West Cancer Centre in Burnie and the Mersey Community Hospital in Latrobe.The Role:Provide a diagnostic and consultative service for inpatients and outpatients in adult haematology at the Northern Cancer Service.Contribute to undergraduate teaching and post graduate teaching.Undertake quality improvement and research activities.Permanent, full time, day work, position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. The successful applicant will also be part of an on-call roster.Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1- Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3 $210,000 - $301,349 per annum.Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty.Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of Australia or equivalent.The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment.
