Benefits of working at St Vincent's include: Generous salary packaging and Fitness Passport for eligible staff Opportunity to access a wide range of clinical and non-clinical education programs Supported post graduate opportunities within applicable fields Career development opportunities across the St Vincent's Health Australia Network Employee Assistance Program Work/Life balance Position Requirements: Provision of inpatient and outpatient care as a member of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease service Provision of Gastroenterology services to patients designated as under your direct care, to outpatients and to patients you are asked to consult in Gastroenterology and Hepatology Provision of procedural services including endoscopy (colonoscopy and gastroscopy) Experience in utilizing Faecal Microbial Transplantation (FMT) Promotion of good patient care and the good reputation of the department and the hospital Participation in the on-call roster for the Department of Gastroenterology Fulfil responsibilities as mentors for medical students and resident medical staff assigned to the department as required Supervise the junior medical staff and provide regular teaching and education in accordance with Clinical Education and Training Institute guidelines Provide supervision and support for Fellows and Trainees in post graduate medical programmes including University programmes, Colleges and the Division of General practice Provision of or willingness to provide intestinal ultrasound services Diversity and Inclusion at St Vincent's:

Selection Criteria: Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia Possess specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and obtain a provider number from Medicare to practice Possess Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) based on specialist training in Gastroenterology, as provided for in the Health Insurance Act Completed or undertaking higher degree (eg PhD) in the study of inflammatory bowel disease Possession of or working towards completion of international bowel ultrasound (IBUS) accreditation to perform intestinal ultrasound Demonstrated knowledge, skills and high standards of clinical practice in Gastroenterology and Hepatology commensurate to experience which is appropriate to the requirements of the position Demonstrated ongoing contribution to the development, dissemination, and translation of new knowledge and practices commensurate with work in an academic teaching hospital environment Demonstrated ability to provide high quality compassionate medical care as evidenced by recent practice experience in working congenially and collaboratively as both a leader and member of a multidisciplinary team Applications close on 22/01/25 Contact Details: Dr David Williams, ******
