Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist to join our team at Concord Repatriation General Hospital. We are looking for a Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine and Point of Care Ultrasound! The primary purpose of the role of Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Emergency Medicine, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Emergency Department and Hospital as required.
The Staff Specialist will ideally have demonstrated experience in point of care ultrasound and teaching. The role involves supervision of ACEM trainees doing an ultrasound special skills rotation.
The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) with recognised qualifications in Emergency Medicine and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
