Location:The Royal Hobart Hospital and Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for Staff Specialist – Emergency Medicine vacancies.

The Emergency Department has direct access to all medical and surgical specialties and has approximately 75,000 presentations per year.
The Department has more than 250 staff, consisting of medical, nursing, allied health, clerical, aides, and orderlies.
The Emergency Department is staffed by specialists, registrars, nurses, and clinical support staff who work together as a dynamic team with a strong focus on collegiality.

Details of Appointment:Fixed term appointments, both full-time and part-time day work (with on-call) available, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for 2 years.
Minimum Requirements: Holds specialist registration.Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) on the specialist pathway.Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an IMG with a recognised overseas specialist qualification and is assessed as having sufficient experience in the specialty.Pre-Employment Checks:The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment.
