The Position:
This is an incredible opportunity to work as a full time, permanent FACEM/ Emergency Medicine Consultant at Central Queensland's largest hospital.
The Emergency Department is a regional adult and paediatric mix with an annual attendance of 50,000 presentations, of which 25% are paediatric.
It is the referral Hospital for Central Queensland and sees a wide range of complex multi-speciality cases.
Allowances:
Professional Development Leave 3.6 weeks p.a.
Professional Development Allowance ($21,500 p.a.)

Over-time and on-call allowances

The Facility:
The 305 bed, large hospital is the main referral hospital for Central Queensland.
The facility provides public health services across Central Queensland to a growing population of approximately 250,000 people and employs more than 3,700 staff, treating more than 700,000 patients each year.
To reflect the growing demand for health care in the region, the hospital has been redeveloped, and now boasts state of the art medical equipment.
The hospital provides specialist services that include emergency, general medicine, general surgery, gastroenterology, gynaecology, cardiology, mental health, maternity, medical oncology, paediatrics, palliative care, orthopaedics, rheumatology, occupational therapy, social work, urology and many other specialty areas.
Eligibility (at least one of the below):
Specialist Registration with AHPRA as a FACEM (ED Consultant)
IMG's eligible via the Competent Authority Pathway (training in the UK, USA, NZ, Canada or Ireland)
SIMG's assessed by ACEM College as Substantially comparable will be considered (doctors currently interviewing with ACEM may express their interest)
Doctors that will be awarded the fellowship (FACEM) in the next 6 months are encouraged to apply
