The Emergency Department is a regional adult and paediatric mix with an annual attendance of 50,000 presentations, of which 25% are paediatric.
It is the referral Hospital for Central Queensland and see a wide range of complex multi-speciality cases.

The city is situated on the Fitzroy River and is surrounded by natural beauty and picturesque landscapes. The Facility: The 305 bed, large hospital is the main referral hospital for Central Queensland. The facility provides public health services across Central Queensland to a growing population of approximately 250,000 people and employ more than 3,700 staff, treating more than 700,000 patients each year.
To reflect the growing demand for health care in the region, the hospital has been redeveloped, and now boasts state of the art medical equipment.
The hospital provides specialist services that include emergency, general medicine, general surgery, gastroenterology, gynaecology, cardiology, mental health, maternity, medical oncology, paediatrics, palliative care, orthopaedics, rheumatology, occupational therapy, social work, urology and many other specialty areas.
Eligibility (at least one of the below):
