Description
The Cardiologist, Electrophysiology & General Cardiology, will be responsible for the provision of high quality, cost efficient and effective care of patients with Rhythm disorders and Cardiovascular Disease who are managed by the Cardiac Services at the Townsville University Hospital and to actively participate in education and research.
Electrophysiology services provided at the Townsville University Hospital include implantation of more than 200 devices annually, including permanent pacemakers, AICD, biventricular devices, subcutaneous ICD's, leadless pacemakers and loop recorders. Ablation of complex rhythm disorders including atrial fibrillation (RF and cryoablation), ischemic ventricular tachycardia, idiopathic VT are performed on a regular basis in addition to ablation of supraventricular tachycardias.
