Provide Pathology Services of the highest possible standard to patients.
The Team:North Tasmanian Pathology Services (NTPS) provides Pathology services to Launceston General Hospital and the Northern regions of Tasmania. We are the only public pathology service operating in North Tasmania. NTPS aims to deliver a high quality service to general practitioners, medical specialists and private hospitals, providing patients with no out of pocket expenses for Medicare eligible tests. The team at NTPS comprises a large team involving multidisciplinary scientists, technicians and Pathologists.
Details of Appointment:Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join the team. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary:Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1- Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3 $210,000 - $310,349 per annum + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging. Please note that access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range $291,472 - $301,349 is subject to the successful applicant satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1, 2 or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award.
Essential Criteria:Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty.*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. Desirable Criteria:Experience in Cytopathology and Post Mortem procedures.The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer.
