All data is encrypted and stored safely in accordance with our Privacy Policy.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join Truyu, a newly formed venture within x15ventures. This role will be critical in creating a best-in-class application for our customers as we continue to evolve and scale this product. You will leverage your breadth of experience across the full stack of technologies in building a scalable digital protection product that our customers love.Your TeamThe team has been working together since November 2023 and is growing. This role is a key member of our collaborative team, and you will work closely with the product team. We are looking for someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty and own the experience design stream as well as being involved in all areas of the business.Key Responsibilities:Consume a build and deployment pipeline encompassing full-stack application & Azure infrastructure deployment.Assist with providing accurate estimates for the development effort for new features.Be part of designing and implementing technical solutions for functional and non-functional requirements.Analyse venture objectives and identify functional and non-functional requirements.Provide technical assistance to other members of the team.Contribute to the strategic engineering goals within the venture.Establish and refine technology policies and procedures to ensure operational safety.Your Skills and Experience8+ years of experience in Full Stack software development, ideally in a start-up environment.Experience with back-end technologies such as Node.js, PostgreSQL, or GraphQL.Experience with cloud technology such as Azure.Someone who knows how to create well-tested and cleanly implemented code.Someone who thrives on delivering results, not fronting up to an office.You are a team player and enjoy doing pair programming.You learn through sharing and reading thought leaders in your community.Nice to HaveHave a product-oriented mindset and be able to work closely with product managers to understand the needs of the end-users.Passionate about fostering effective engineering practices and processes.DevOps experience including CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible.Research shows that people from underrepresented backgrounds sometimes hesitate to apply for roles if they don't meet every requirement.
