Job DescriptionAs a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing complex software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive architectural decisions to enhance our products and services.
What you'll do: Support the team to plan and prioritise work in agile SprintsContribute to software architecture and solution designCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritise technical solutionsLead and assist with planning the development of technical solutions from concept to launchEnsure the team's SLOs are being monitored and metStay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologiesQualificationsWhat you'll bring: 7+ years of professional experience in software development2+ years in a technology focused leadership roleStrong software architecture and solution design skillsExperience with Azure Cloud ServicesExperience with event-driven microservice architecturesExperience in Real-time Payments and NPP (New Payments Platform)Experience with agile software development methodologies (e.g. as part of a scrum team)Excellent communication and collaboration skillsNice-to-Have: Experience working with a fintech or with financial software developmentExperience with Kubernetes and DockerExperience with DevOps and CI/CD practices, such as continuous integration and deploymentFamiliarity and/or experience with SRE conceptsAdditional InformationCollaborative teams – a flat structure means everyone can learn from colleagues and senior leaders around the business.Be involved – come together with all of your colleagues every 100 days to share the product and technology roadmap and business strategy.Flexible working environment – we're headquartered in North Sydney with state-based workplaces and offer a flexible work policy.Family support – industry leading 26 weeks paid parental leave.Varied workspaces – our office enables areas for collaboration, brainstorming and socialising as well as focus zones.Range of benefits – supporting your physical, psychological and financial wellbeing.
