About the team The Product team at Airwallex is a group of passionate builders and problem-solvers who are obsessed with crafting customer-centric solutions that empower businesses to operate anywhere, anytime. What you'll do This role will be part of the financial markets product team, building out our capabilities that ultimately enable our customers to transact and operate globally. You will be responsible for leading high-impact projects from ideation to launch. The team is focused on exposing our underlying FX capabilities to markets, and working closely with internal stakeholders and teams to ensure funds are made available where and when they are required to meet our obligations to customers, partners and regulators.
This role is based in Melbourne, Sydney, or Singapore. Responsibilities: Lead the development of critical financial markets infrastructure and capabilities for both internal corporate needs, and customer facing product teams. This will include price construction and distribution via all channels, FX risk management & position keeping, and interfacing with liquidity management. Work closely with the Treasury (functional) team to deliver capabilities that optimize liquidity, efficiently manage risks, and provide adequate reporting and control to the team. Work closely with other product domains to build out solutions that allow product domains to access critical financial services with little intervention. Define and lead the strategy for Foreign Exchange management at Airwallex, including partner management, business architecture, and Pricing and execution integrations with global financial institutions. Who you are We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.
Minimum qualifications: 8+ years of overall professional experience. Bachelor's degree or higher with exemplary academic achievements. Preferred qualifications: Computer Science, Mathematics or Finance education. Financial Advisory or Consulting experience. Markets experience, which may extend beyond traditional financial markets (energy markets, marketplace pricing, digital assets, etc.).
