Position Profile: We are currently seeking a suitably skilled and qualified person for the role of Staff Development Nurse.
The Staff Development Nurse is responsible for education and training and as part of the multidisciplinary team provides staff support, plans, implements and evaluates orientation, coaching and preceptorship at the ward or unit level; facilitates the development of clinical expertise; upholds and functions within the core values of the organisation - Excellence, Respect, Kindness, Accountability, Integrity and Collaboration.
The Staff Development Nurse facilitates and promotes patient safety and quality care, working collaboratively to ensure that health services are delivered in accordance with policy and standards. The Staff Development Nurse practices within their scope of practice considerate of the Nursing and Midwifery Board's Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart.
