You will play a key role in ensuring the planning, development and delivery of nursing education course/programs throughout our hospital.
As the Staff Development Coordinator, your responsibilities will include: Planning and developing the education and training programs that address the strategic direction of the hospitalWork in partnership with stakeholders to deliver identified programs and education as specified in National Safety & Quality Healthcare StandardsTake a leadership role in the coordination, delivery and facilitation of education programs delivered across the facility/site and manage the hospital orientation program for new employeesPromote a high standard of evidence-based nursing care to all patients, through dissemination of current best practice knowledgeSupervise staff compliance to annual Mandatory Training and completion of eLearning componentsWork with the Medical and Surgical Ward NUMs and executive team members to prioritize departmental education requirementsPeninsula Private Hospital is an acute medical, surgical and rehabilitation facility located in the Moreton Bay Region offering a friendly, supportive environment with a strong commitment to the provision of excellence in clinical care.
Selection Criteria: Minimum 3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse with current AHPRACertificate in workplace assessment and trainingPostgraduate certificate in educationRelevant Nursing qualificationAbility to deliver teaching programs and objectively evaluate and assess learning outcomesExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent leadership, team building and interpersonal skillsStrong change management skillsBackground in wound care, diabetes, or palliative nursing desirableWhy Healthscope?
