The Opportunity We are seeking an exceptional educational leader to join our Executive Team as Deputy Principal. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and delivery of educational excellence, supporting the Principal in ensuring the school remains a dynamic learning community dedicated to excellence in teaching, learning, and pastoral care.
Key Responsibilities Contribute to the strategic direction of the School through strategic planning cycles. Support the Principal in the development and implementation of the School's Vision, Purpose and Values in the daily operation of the School from K to 12. Provide exemplary Christian and professional leadership for all members of the School community. Support measures that enhance the Christian identity of the School. Overall management of day-to-day administration, teaching and learning, professional development, staff wellbeing and student care. Support the Principal in stakeholder engagement and community building. Assist with marketing and promotion of the School. Provide oversight of the School's Teaching and Learning programs to provide seamless transitions and ensure scaffolded and excellent programs across the three sub-schools. Oversee all compliance and procedures to ensure the School meets ACARA, TASC, Tasmanian School Registration Board (SRB) and Teacher Registration Board (TRB) requirements. What we're looking for Postgraduate qualifications in education, leadership, or a related field Full teacher registration in Tasmania (or the ability to obtain) Extensive experience in a senior leadership role within a school Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, teaching and learning best practices, and innovative pedagogy Demonstrated capacity to use strategic thinking and analytical skills to contribute to educational outcomes. Demonstrated outstanding teaching practices and an ability to enhance teaching and learning experiences. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders Strong operational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Commitment to the values and Christian ethos within an independent girls' school environment Why Join Us?
