About ACC Singleton Australian Christian College (ACC) is a protestant non-denominational, Christian Education organisation, whose mission is to develop each and every student to be equipped spiritually, academically, socially and physically to flourish into their full potential, and be a positive influence on the world around them. ACC is part of Christian Education Ministries, with 14 schools in 5 states, and is also the largest non-government Distance Education provider in Australia. ACC Singleton (ACCS) is located in the beautiful Hunter Valley region of New South Wales. Offering programs from Prep to Year 12, ACCS has been operating for over 12 years. The College has experienced considerable growth in student numbers and improvement in student learning results in recent years. During 2025 work will commence on a new 18 classroom building that will help accommodate the growth in student numbers from 420 to 600 students over the next 5 years. About the role The College is seeking to appoint an Executive Assistant to the Principal of the College. This role will be responsible for the efficient running of the Principal's Office, providing excellent and highly confidential administrative support and role-modelling behaviour that is strongly aligned with the College's vision and values. This includes regular attendance at staff Devotions and Worship. The Executive Assistant will present welcoming, professional assistance to College students, their families, staff, members of the College Executive and governing bodies. This position will commence in January 2025. You will be responsible for: The day-to-day personal and professional assistance to the College Principal by; ensuring all staff are supported and contacted as requested, maintaining the College Principal's diary, managing walk-up requests, receiving and screening calls and emails, arranging further appointments and follow-up meetings, providing a concise secretarial service for listed meetings throughout the calendar year, being the contact point for agenda items, minute creation, and distribution of information for action, supporting the Administration Team to ensure Front Reception is a place of welcome, and that all guests are handled in a polite and compassionate manner, facilitating HR processes including but not limited to job applications, screening, checklists, employee packs, training material, teacher registrations and renewals, assisting the communication and liaison of the College Executive with high-stakes external agencies, supporting in the collation of government reports and submissions e.g. census, collection of Student Background Information. completing general administrative duties as required. About You To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate the following: Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar role, ideally within a school setting. Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Work with confidential material in a manner that is trustworthy and discerning. Production of clear and accurate correspondence on behalf of the Principal with the capacity to discern the urgent from the routine. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail. A high level of motivation and ability to work independently, solving problems before they become issues for the Principal. Proficiency in the use of the Google Suite, including Sheets and Slides, as well as other software and systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive and positive approach. Empathy to consider the needs of families while progressing the delivery of service in a timely manner. The ability to build strong relationships within the College and beyond.
