ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Lifestyle Facilitator to join our team at Emmaus, providing person-centred lifestyle services at the weekends.
You will take an active role in getting to know our residents and gain an understanding of their interests, choices, goals and abilities. You will be responsible for creating, delivering and maintaining a lifestyle program of activities and events based on these and with the aim of optimising residents' health and well-being.
The role will be supported by the Lifestyle coordinator and our wonderful team of volunteers, you will have the opportunity to use your creativity to make a positive impact on the life of our residents.
The position will be offered to the successful applicant as a Permanent Part-Time position, working 08:30 - 16:36 Saturday & Sunday (30.4 hours a fortnight). Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support (Desirable) . Experience in creating, delivering and coordinating, person-centred, recreational lifestyle programs within an aged care environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships. Passion for enhancing the health and wellbeing of aged residents. Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Intermediate computer skills (experience with Microsoft suite of products and open to learning new technology). Commitment to work in harmony with Catholic Values and Principles.
