In this role you'll be accountable for developing the Offshore Delivery Directorate's risk, issues and opportunity management practice and capability and ensuring the consistent adoption of risk management activities across the portfolio.
Reporting to the Director of Offshore Delivery, you'll be a key member of the Offshore Delivery Directorate Leadership Team and will work with all Project Directors and functional heads but will also have significant interaction with the wider SSEN Transmission Business and SSE Group as well as JV Partners to enable sharing of best practice.
Key duties and responsibilities include: Establishing and developing a world class, sector leading risk management function which is focussed on proactively managing risk through a multi contract, supply chain partnership model.Ensuring SSEN Transmission achieves the best possible risk management provision from all our ASTI and LOTI Project Assessment submissions to Ofgem.Acting as the Offshore Delivery Risk figurehead, representing Offshore on all relevant Project delivery and review boards, Large Capital Projects Committees and SSENT key governance forums.Leading effective implementation of Group Risk Management procedures and the development and implementation of a pro-active and effective Offshore risk and opportunity management policy, strategy, process, procedures, practices, and behaviours.What do I need? To be considered for this role you should:
Be an experienced senior Risk Management professional with significant experience in large capital infrastructure programmes.Possess expert knowledge of large capital project and programme risk management practice and the communication of risk and opportunity data through effective reporting tools.Have outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills to help establish and develop the Offshore Risk team and to inspire the Offshore Delivery directorate, creating strong relationships with the wider risk community, JV teams and external bodies.Demonstrate exceptional communication skills to inform, impact and influence key stakeholders.Be experienced in leading, coaching and mentoring a geographically spread, multi-disciplined team.About our BusinessAt SSEN Transmission, we take immense pride in owning and operating the high-voltage electricity transmission network across the north of Scotland.
