AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise, able to address advanced concepts, and feature designs. As part of the AWS sales organization, SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve. SSAs craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) in ANZ is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers.
The ANZ Specialist team partners with our field sales and solution architect teams to support our customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

We are seeking an experienced Accelerated Computing Specialist SA to drive large-scale migration and modernization of technology infrastructure and applications to AWS. Advocate internally and externally on behalf of AWS. You are highly motivated and have the ability to work closely and constructively with cross-functional teams engaging with C-level executives and influencers at all levels.
Key job responsibilitiesApply your advanced technical expertise and experience in Accelerated Computing to unblock our customers' largest and most critical business challenges.Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.Act as a thought leader, sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re:Invent, etc.Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.A day in the lifeMeet with customers and their account managers and solution architects for the largest and most strategic customer accounts to discuss opportunities to transform their workloads with AWS. Discuss the same opportunities with supporting AWS service specialist teams, cloud economics and partner teams to fine tune architectures, solutions and migration strategies. Share updates on customer trends with the team and key stakeholders before celebrating with the extended team in a collaborative and hybrid working environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS7+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience10+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience3+ years of technology/software sales experienceExperience with designing, building and operating platforms and workloads based on Accelerated Computing (HPC, Quantum, GPU, FPGA)History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprisesStrong written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience working with end user or developer communitiesStrong data-based storytelling skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives and developers.Cloud expertise as demonstrated by one or more cloud certifications.Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.Proficiency with design, deployment, and evaluation of LLM-powered agents and tools and orchestration approaches.Advanced degree highly preferred such as engineering, computer science, or mathematics.Acknowledgement of country: In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
