Amazon is seeking an experienced financial services compliance professional to serve as a Senior Compliance Manager within the second line of defence (2LoD) payments team, based in Sydney.

The ideal candidate will have experience in building compliance frameworks and policies focused on Anti-Money Laundering (AML - with AUSTRAC) and Regulatory Compliance (payments/lending - ASIC / APRA), as well as undertaking impact analysis of regulatory changes.

This role is an individual contributor role.
Key Job ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with legal and public policy teams to interpret new regulations and undertake impact analysis to inform decision-making by senior leaders.Define compliance requirements and determine appropriate compliance policies and controls to meet local AU regulatory obligations.Work with technology and operations teams as they build and scale AML and payments-related controls.Maintain a documented view of regulatory obligations in order to detect and respond to regulatory developments and issues that may pose compliance risk; educate senior leaders and guide local business teams in the development of risk-based controls.Prepare reports to senior management and senior business leaders with timely and actionable intelligence concerning regulatory regimes applicable to Amazon Australia.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experienceBachelor's degree or equivalentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience of influencing regulatory policy.Acknowledgement of country:
