The Head of Talent and Performance is responsible for designing, implementing, and driving Squadron's talent acquisition, talent management, and performance strategies. The role focuses on building a high-performance culture through innovative approaches to recruitment, employee development, succession planning, and performance management. The Head of Talent and Performance will work closely with senior leaders to align talent strategies with organisational goals, ensuring that SQE attracts, retains, and develops top-tier talent to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities Develop and lead the overall talent acquisition strategy, ensuring alignment with current and future organisational needs. Establish a succession planning process, identifying critical roles and ensuring readiness plans are in place for key positions. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of talent strategies with business objectives. Oversee the optimisation of sourcing channels, ensuring a strong pipeline of candidates for both immediate and future needs. Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the performance management framework, ensuring alignment with business priorities. Work with P&C Business Partners to deliver the annual performance appraisal process, driving a culture of continuous feedback and development. Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on talent and performance matters, providing insights and recommendations based on best practices and organisational needs. Oversee the creation and execution of comprehensive learning programs that align with talent and performance goals. Oversee training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and ensure employees receive the necessary training to meet role requirements. Oversee career development frameworks that allow employees to clearly see paths for growth and progression within the company. Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts across the talent and performance functions, working to create an inclusive culture. Leverage HR analytics to assess the effectiveness of talent and performance programs, making data-driven adjustments where needed. Experience and Knowledge 15 years minimum experience in talent management, performance management, or related HR roles, with at least 10 years in a leadership capacity. Ability to develop and execute strategic plans aligned with the overall business goals, particularly in relation to talent and performance. Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record in managing teams and driving talent initiatives across diverse and distributed teams. Proficiency in HR analytics, able to interpret data and derive actionable insights to drive talent and performance strategies.
