Milestone IT are currently on the lookout for an experienced SQL Developer to join an amazing business on contract initially for 6 months.
Experience: Experience as an SQL Developer.Solid understanding and experience with T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.Experience in ETL development, unit testing, and data reconciliation.Experience in database administration tasks.Experience with SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS.Comfortable using Visual Studio.Experience with Git for source code management.Proven experience in working with large and complex corporate networks.Microsoft SQL certification.Additional Skills: Understanding of DevOps processes and tools.Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools.Knowledge of version control systems and their appropriate uses.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical team members.Understanding of ITIL processes and deployment/release management.Personal Attributes: Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Great organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively.Ability to work in a team and collaborative environment.Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.Strong analytical skills and the ability to make technical decisions.Preparedness to take initiative and achieve results.Selection Criteria: Proven ability to develop and maintain database systems and services.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Strong understanding and knowledge of SQL Server versions (2008R2, 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2019).Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related degree.
