Milestone IT is currently working with this brilliant global business who right now have a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced SQL DBA to join a great team.
Working with a brilliant team of IT specialists, you will be providing high-level expertise to the design, migration, and deployment of a national SQL solution.
Key Responsibilities include: Provide technical support including installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of the SQL Server operating system.Manage the design, delivery, and architecture of a SQL migration project.Perform system and software patching and firmware updating; install server hardware and operating systems.Review each server and determine the best method for upgrading/refreshing the OS.Work with the end-user or supplier to identify components that need to be upgraded and then create an upgrade/migration/remediation plan for each server.Identify databases that are no longer in use or needed.Design documentation, build, and strategy papers.Skills we are looking for: Strong knowledge of SQL databases and SQL database servers.Previous experience in migration, transformation, and upgrades of SQL environments.Detailed knowledge of various desktop and server operating systems.Experience performing in a similar position.Good analytical skills.Highly collaborative and driven to deliver outstanding solutions.Well-presented, hardworking, and enjoys working in a team.Great written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work well independently and productively within a small team environment.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a challenging and exciting role.
