Position: Full time
Salary: $110,807 to $124,958 plus 15.4% superannuation
The ideal candidate is proficient in Microsoft SQL Server, has a strong understanding of database management systems, possesses excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and has experience in reporting and analytics.
This role requires a high level of organisational skills, critical thinking, accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task to ensure high quality outcomes for the section.
You will identify strategies and efficiencies for maintaining existing services, and business applications, and platforms to maximise availability, reliability, and service continuity.
You will make your mark with stakeholders by proactively keeping them informed and engaged in appropriate formats and forums as well as enabling self-service visibility of status updates in DevOps.
Responsibilities:Database Design and Implementation:Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.Create and modify database schema, tables, views, and stored procedures.Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity.Database Maintenance and Administration:Install, configure, and upgrade SQL server software and related products.Monitor and tune database performance, ensuring optimal response times.Perform regular backups, recovery, and maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, data corruption, and connectivity problems.Implement and maintain database security, including user access control and data encryption.Database Security and Compliance:Develop and enforce database security policies and procedures.Monitor database activity and access logs for potential security threats.Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and industry best practices.Database Monitoring and Optimisation:Monitor database systems to proactively identify and resolve performance issues.Optimize database queries, indexes, and server configurations to enhance overall system performance.Implement database monitoring tools and establish alerts for proactive issue identification and resolution.Documentation and Reporting:Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.Generate regular reports on database performance, usage, and capacity.Provide recommendations for database infrastructure improvements based on analysis and findings.#J-18808-Ljbffr
