Description: About the Role: Reporting to the Applications Manager, the SQL Database Administrator will conduct daily health checks of all SQL Server instances to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues. Additionally, you will oversee database maintenance tasks such as index rebuilds, statistics updates, and regular patching to ensure optimal system reliability and performance, ultimately delivering the highest value to the business.
Key Responsibilities: Support the vision of creating a healthier Australia through the support of ICT SQL Databases within Lite N 'EasyMicrosoft SQL Server 2005-2019 DatabasesSQL Server Clustering, replication, backup and recoveryPerformance Monitoring and Tuning with SQL Server DatabasesSecurity management: Oversee overall database security, such as user privileges, access controls, and audit logging.Database maintenance tasks: Manage database maintenance jobs, including index rebuilds, statistics updates and patching.Backup and Recovery strategy and implementation with SQL Server DatabasesDevelop and enforce database standards and best practicesCreate and maintain documentation related to database architecture, procedures, and configurationsAbout You: A minimum of 5 + years experience in a similar position and experience with report creation, modelling and trend forecasting. Experience in SharePoint and M-Files Administration would be highly regarded. Have solid communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to work in a team and independently. Support, mentoring and direction to the ICT team and support staff. Lead the way in maintaining positive and professional relationships within the department and across the business. Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to Applications. The ability to work well under pressure and maintain excellent administration standards.
