Sql Database Administrator

All Velan Consulting Active Roles PD Link : Database Administrator (DBA) | Canberra / Hybrid / Offsite / Remote | Citizens | Contract. Job Description The Department is looking for a skilled resource that will play a key role in ensuring DBA project deliverables are met. The resource will have the ability to work across multiple work packages both on a project and a business-as-usual team.
The successful candidate will work to the direction of the project manager as well as:
·        Deliver work packages to support multiple projects
·        developing relevant documentation including handover to BAU, SoPs, detailed designs and high-level designs.
·        (as time permits) providing on the job training and knowledge transfer to other staff to support internal capability uplift.
Essential criteria
1. Tertiary qualifications in ICT or a related field and/or equivalent experience as a database administrator (8+ years).
2. Experience administering SQL Server, from legacy SQL Server 2012 to all versions of SQL Server in the Azure cloud.
3. TSQL and powershell scripting experience
4. Experience with on-premises high availability clusters
5. Experience decommissioning legacy SQL Server 2012 servers and Experience migrating databases between different versions of SQL Server
6. Experience with Commvault backup and restore
Desirable criteria
1. Experience with SAS Grid or SAS Viya
