Sql Database Administrator/ Developer

Database Development & Administration (Information & Communication Technology) Location: VIC South Eastern Suburbs (Hybrid 1/2 days from office) - 6 months contract or Option of a Permanent opportunity! Work as an SQL DBA with a Consulting firm on one of their established Melbourne based projects.
Responsibilities and Skills required include: 4-6 years of experience as a database specialist in Microsoft SQL Server. T-SQL Development: Writing, understanding and modifying the existing SQL queries (CRUD, Joins, Sub queries etc.), stored procedures, functions, and triggers. PowerShell Scripting: Writing, understanding and modifying the existing PowerShell scripts and new scripts as per the requirement. Experience in database maintenance, including fragmentation checks, daily backups and recovery, re-index operations, update statistics, and other system commands such as DBCC and DMVs. Good exposure in setting up and troubleshooting Always-On High availability solutions. Experience in PowerShell scripting; knowledge in dbatools is a plus. Strong SQL knowledge and experience in creating database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, and triggers. Generate code to extract, transform, and load data from one data source to another (SSIS). Experience performing database migrations. Good to have knowledge of reporting tools like PowerBI.
