Health, Safety & Environment (Construction) Full time We are currently seeking a positive individual whose expertise and passion is improving safety, quality, and environmental (SQE) practices within the commercial construction industry.
The role is based in Launceston, Tasmania and will require some travel around the local region.
Being part of a team of professionals, you will establish and maintain close working relationships with Senior Management, Project Managers, and Site Managers. You will also be involved in educating our people to manage work safely and embed our safety culture.
This is a great opportunity to guide and mentor our employees and sub-contractors in industry-leading practices to continually improve our sites' SQE capabilities.
To be successful in this challenging role, you must: Have a minimum 5 years' experience in a similar commercial construction industry role.Demonstrate a modern approach to safety, with collaborative skills to engage in problem solving with project teams.Have good attention to detail to forecast critical risk, apply risk reduction and control effectiveness.Display confidence in creating positive influences.Be a self-starter who can work autonomously with initiative.Be an active participant within a wider SQE team working together toward an ongoing effective safety management system.Hold a Certificate IV Occupational Health & Safety as a minimum.Have a working knowledge of safety, quality and environmental ISO standards and OFSC accreditation.Be committed to continual improvement.Have a sound knowledge of the basic Microsoft Office suite.Familiarity with HammerTech software would be an advantage.If you believe your skills and passions align with our brief, we encourage your application.
