An excellent opportunity for a full-time Spray Rig Operator now exists located on the doorstep of Goondiwindi, a thriving local border township situated in prime Australian farming country and within a wonderful rural community servicing the wider southern agricultural sector. My client, a privately owned broadacre cropping and irrigation enterprise consists of properties both sides of Goondiwindi with this position being based on the Queensland side of the McIntyre River - being only a 30-minute commute back to town.

Encompassing a dryland and irrigation crop rotation program of wheat, barley, sorghum, chickpea and cotton, the end-to-end farming company offers variety to their employees across all areas of the crop production process. Machinery is modern, consisting of tractors, headers, self-propelled spray rigs, a truck, cotton pickers and a fleet of generalised lighter plant. The machinery is extremely well maintained and fitted with GreenStar GPS technology.

A capable Spray Rig Operator is sought to commence work in a full-time, permanent capacity operating a self-propelled G6 Goldacres spray rig. At times when required, other duties may be asked of the Spray Rig Operator, such as but not limited to, tractor operating and general farm maintenance and repairs. Previous experience with specifically 'self-propelled' spray rigs, GPS driven equipment and mechanical maintenance will be viewed as extremely favourable. A current chemical certificate is preferred however isn't essential as the right applicant will be put through the required training.

My client offers a very flexible and negotiable approach when it comes to wages, rosters and accommodation requirements. Suitable family accommodation on-farm is available with access to a local school bus run from the gate. In return, a willingness to learn, good work ethics, a reliable and trustworthy approach is expected at all times. Potentially, work for a partner within a farm hand role may be available all dependent on prior skills and experience.
