We are looking to fill a Spray Painter role within our Malaga facility for Service team (After Sales) for Afternoon Shift. In this hands-on position, you will have a strong drive and motivation to succeed and be able to work in a safety conscious environment. Preparation and paint brand new, refurbished buses, parts, modules, trolleys, and etc. Must be trade qualified Automotive Spray Painter / Refinisher. Positions enjoy working a 9-day fortnight. Pay rate is market competitive and depends on experience and qualifications. This will be a permanent full-time opportunity and paid as per our Enterprise Agreement. SKILLED REQUIRED: Able to paint B.C metallics and 2K paints. Preparation sand and clean Able to follow Standard Operating Procedures Removing rough spots on vehicle panels Sanding surfaces by hand and with power sanders Masking areas not to be painted with tape and paper Colour matching and mixing paints to match paint shades, and selecting pre-mixed paint Touching up paintwork and applying polish to vehicles Removing masking papers, and waxing and polishing finished paintwork Treating vehicles with rust-proofing chemicals QUALIFICATION AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: Qualified in Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology (AUR32420) or equivalent. Cleaning experience will be highly regarded (transport, domestic, and commercial) Experience in car, bus or truck detailing also highly regarded Previous experience painting large vehicles will be highly regarded. This position also requires the applicant to undertake a pre-employment medical which includes a drug and alcohol analysis, musculoskeletal evaluation and hearing test Applicants must have the right to work and live in Australia.
