Wenona is seeking a passionate Sport Coordinator to join our Team to deliver exceptional sporting programs for our students from K – 12.
You will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of allocated sports including administrative and organisational functions, coaching, casual staff management and development as well as liaising with external competition and venue providers.

The Position The Sport Coordinator plays a significant role supporting the Sports Department and will have a particular focus on leading our Basketball program and assist with other sporting activities as allocated by the Director of Sport and Performance.
This role will focus on the organisation, planning, preparation and operational management of allocated sports, whilst assisting with key events and broader team activities.
Key priorities for the role include:
Coordinating all aspects of student involvement in their allocated co-curricular sports including delivery of selection trials, training, competition entries, weekly and season game reports, player and coach evaluations. Collaborating with the Sport leadership team regarding annual, term and weekly planning to ensure timetables are prepared. Tracking and monitoring student participation, attendance, injury management, rewards and recognition scheme, and dress standards. Ensuring qualified and accredited coaches are recruited and allocated to each team. Overseeing the skills development of coaching staff with allocated sports, promotion and delivery of relevant coaching development programs, as well as preparation of a series of coaching resources. Recording, monitoring, and tracking inventory of School sporting equipment, coach and student sport uniforms as required for allocated sports. This is a Permanent Full-Time position.
About You To be successful in this role, you will bring relevant experience in Sports including a strong understanding and experience in Basketball and general knowledge in a range of different sports.
The role requires excellent organisation and communication skills, especially engaging with various stakeholders including students, coaches and parents.

Essential Requirements Relevant Tertiary Qualification Sports Management / Business Degree Human Movement / Coaching / Exercise / Sports Science Degree National Police / Criminal History Check Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check Drivers Licence Minimum 2 years relevant experience in Sport, Event and/or project management/coordination Desirable Criteria Level 1 Coaching Accreditation Sports Medicine / Physio / Allied Health Degree Previous experience in Education
