Position Overview The Sports Coach is responsible for managing and coordinating student sports. The role includes coordinating and facilitating coaching/training sessions, transporting students to sporting events, and returning them safely back to the College, closely supervising and supporting students at all times with an emphasis on child safety, equipment set up and pack up, and liaison with teaching staff and other sports coaches, all within the operating guidelines of Salesian College Sunbury.
Reporting directly to the Director of Sport, this position assists with the skill development of students/players at all levels. The incumbent must appreciate all aspects of College philosophy, pastoral care, and general student management and wellbeing. The incumbent must support the College, designated sport teams and aim for success with their particular team.
The incumbent will also be expected to assist with the development of a sporting plan for their particular sports and follow the skills, strategies, and team plays outlined by the teacher.
