If you have experience handling and caring for livestock and maintaining yards and fencing; then this position is ideal for you. The Rockhampton Heritage Village is seeking a Permanent Full Time Maintenance and Livestock Assistant to join their team. You will be responsible in assisting with the operation, development and maintenance of Heritage Services sites and handling of livestock to provide an enjoyable cultural tourism experience to visitors.
You will have good communication skills along with knowledge in animal husbandry and stable management. You will have experience in the identification and management of noxious weeds and pests along with skills in building maintenance and construction. You will also be required to have a current Blue Card (working with children check) and possess or have the ability to obtain an ACDC Chemical Spraying Licence.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
