We are looking for an enthusiastic Sports Administrator who will provide general sport administration support.
Position Objectives:The primary purpose is to support the Head of Sport whilst offering a quality service for the students of the College.
Reports to: Head of Sports
Key Functions, Accountabilities, Responsibilities and Deliverables:Sports SupportPromote and foster the development of the College's sporting ethos.Encourage and promote student participation in Sport throughout St Andrews.Assist Head of Sport with School Carnivals, including but not limited to Athletics, Swimming, Cross Country.Manage school sports representative pathways associated with school carnival events and competitions to foster choice and depth of teams at the College.Organise the day-to-day running of the St Andrew's sport afternoon, including but not limited to staffing, buses, and venue hire.Data tracking of students' sporting achievements.Collection and tracking of sport coaches' timesheets.All data collection relevant to sport at the College.Provide general sports administration support – e.g., bus bookings, venue hire, filing, word processing, maintenance of stationery supplies.Distribute weekly sports information data.Provide secretarial support for SALC representation at external sport-related meetings, e.g., typing of minutes, notification to schools of agenda, etc.Act as assistant supervisor on escorting SALC students off campus.Book venues and outside instructors as required.CommunicationMaintain confidentiality when dealing with faculty, parents, and students.Develop and maintain positive working relationships with students, team members, and staff.Send/receive and action internal communications as appropriate.Other DutiesMaintain high standards of student behaviour.Assist in any College events as required.Any other duties as required by the Head of Sport.Attend Sport staff meetings as required.ExperienceWork with colleagues, parents, visitors, and students in a professional manner that is conducive to and promotes St Andrews's mission and values.Provide outstanding pastoral care for the children throughout the College.Appreciate the need for flexibility if other members of staff are absent.Participate fully as a member of the staff team in helping to provide a happy, stimulating, safe, educational environment.Be responsible for a group of children on College trips, including awareness of bus safety.Demonstrate capacity to maintain strong interpersonal skills and to communicate with purpose, working closely with students, staff, and parents/guardians in a team-oriented learning community.Maintain professionalism in all business dealings.Professionalism and CommunicationRespect and maintain confidentiality at all times.Ability to work unsupervised.Capacity to operate as a collaborative team-oriented person in a professional work environment.Established professional boundaries observed at all times.Specific RequirementsCertificate III in Sport and Recreation (SIS30115) – optional.Must hold a current Provide First Aid Certificate.Attend First Aid training as arranged by the College.Must hold a current Positive Notice Blue Card for Child Related Employment issued by Blue Card Services.Must satisfy all visa requirements for working in Australia.Ensure your own child protection training is up-to-date.Closing date: 9:00 am Wednesday, 22 January 2025
