Your Opportunity Due to an exciting, internal career move, we are seeking a new Sponsorship & Events Coordinator to join our dynamic team!
Reporting to the Sponsorship and Events Lead, this role is pivotal in supporting, coordinating, and maintaining our vital Sponsorship and Events Program.
You will build meaningful relationships with customers, external businesses, and internal teams.
Our programs foster a deeper connection with the communities we serve and create opportunities for face-to-face engagement at events.
From the Ekka and Ipswich Show to the Kalbar Sunflower Festival and Green Heart Fair, you'll play a key role in building trust and awareness through interactive activities, education, and our beloved hydration stations!
Key Responsibilities Include: Support the planning, coordination, and execution of event activations on behalf of Urban Utilities (UU), ensuring alignment with UU's values and community engagement objectives.
Take a hands-on approach to the logistics, setup, and delivery of community and corporate events, contributing to successful activations that promote UU's brand and services.
Collaborate closely with the Branding, Marketing, and Education teams to foster strong relationships with customers, external partners, and internal stakeholders.
Monitor event progress and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with organisational goals.
Assist in the development of event materials and promotional content to enhance brand visibility and community engagement.
Facilitate communication between internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless event execution and to address any issues that may arise.
Assist in the implementation of sponsorship agreements, monitoring and ensuring that all agreed sponsorship benefits are delivered effectively.
Collect and analyse feedback post-event to evaluate success and inform future event strategies.
Oversee Water Station Hire: Coordinate requests and bookings, oversee logistics, and facilitate the setup of water stations for community events, ensuring smooth operation and timely delivery.
About You: We are seeking candidates who are passionate about shaping our future, and ideally have the following qualifications, skills and experiences: Demonstrated experience in event planning and executing event activations, with a understanding of how to align activities with organisational values and community engagement objectives.
A hands-on approach to logistics, including setup and delivery of events, ensuring that all operational aspects are managed effectively to create successful activations.
Proven ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
Ability to monitor event progress, gather feedback, and assess outcomes to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with organisational goals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate seamless communication between internal teams and external partners, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
Familiarity with implementing sponsorship agreements, ensuring that all agreed-upon benefits are delivered effectively and in a timely manner.
