Speech Pathology Team Leader

The ORS Speech Pathology team is expanding and we are seeking a Team Leader to join the team in Melbourne! You will join a national team of 60+ Speech Pathologists in our NDIS division providing clinical services to participants aged 0-65. You will work across early intervention, school age, adolescent and adult services with clients who have various presentations, diagnoses and disability types.
Your role will be to provide clinical support to develop independence when working in a complex NDIS caseload.You will be supported by your Regional Manager to provide operational support to your team.
You will be required to manage a small complex clinical caseload in the areas of communication and or swallowing and will be able to access clinical supervision to continue your professional development.
At ORS we encourage our leaders to be proactive in developing the team culture and team scope within their area. You will be supported to develop appropriate leadership skills to achieve this through our internal supervision program and Management Mentoring training series.
The type of assessments and interventions you and the team will provide include:
Communication AssessmentsSwallowing and Paediatric Feeding (Dysphagia) AssessmentsMealtime Management Plan development and reviewsAugmentative and Alternative Communication AssessmentsOngoing therapyYou will work across various environments, including family homes, disability group homes, day programs, schools, preschools, community settings, telehealth and ORS offices.

A few requirements: Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology3+ years experience as a Speech Pathologist Registration or ability to become registered with SPAPrior experience working with NDIS participants in a clinical or community setting (preferred)A car and licenceA National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or able to acquire one for client facing roles (or willingness to obtain one before commencement)About ORS: We are one of the largest and fastest growing family owned and operated national allied health and workplace rehabilitation providers in Australia, with a proven track record and reputation for providing high quality evidence-based, and client-centred services for over 30 years!
