The Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast and Mount Morgan Speech Pathology team provide hospital and community-based services across the lifespan including:
Inpatient swallow and communication assessments and intervention for adult and paediatric patients.Outpatient clinics, including adult medical, oncology, ear, nose and throat (including laryngectomy), cancer care and paediatrics (including failure to thrive).Instrumental assessment clinics, including Video Fluoroscopic Swallow Study (VFSS) and Fibre Optic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES).The Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast and Mount Morgan Speech Pathology team also provide professional and clinical support to ensure sustainable Speech Pathology services across the HHS.
The Department also facilitates the delivery of diagnostic audiology services for Central Queenslanders, including Cochlear Implant Mapping, Teleaudiology assessment and Healthy Hearing.
About the role:Some of the essential accountabilities and responsibilities for this role are:
Operationally manage nominated work unit/s and team/s, including allocation of resources and human resource management.Assume accountability for financial management of designated cost centre/s.Apply high level knowledge and skills across a variety of clinical settings to deliver clinical care and provide clinical support to a range of Speech Pathologists and multi-disciplinary team members across CQHHS.Develop, implement and review service models for Speech Pathology and provide profession-specific advice regarding development and review of service models for multi-disciplinary services and teams across CQHHS.About you:Mandatory qualification/s: The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Speech Pathology.Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: While not mandatory, a postgraduate qualification consistent with a senior leadership role is highly desirable.Proof of qualification: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.What we offer:Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $172,615 p.a. is comprised of:
