The role works by contributing to patient care by providing clinical support tasks delegated under the direct or indirect supervision of a Speech Pathologist. Our purpose is 'great care every day'. About your opportunity Provide a defined range of patient interventions as delegated by the Speech Pathologist and work under their direction. This may include:Clinical pathwaysPatient specific guidelines/protocols.Provide basic education on a defined range of topics to patients or groups of patients.Assist in group treatment sessions and provide feedback following sessions to the Speech Pathologist on individual and group performance.Generous remuneration package value up to $82,130 p.a. comprising:
Salary range of $68,471 to $71,983 p.a. (CA3)17.5% leave loading + leave12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.Other employment benefits may include: professional development, salary sacrificing options, shift and locality allowances, employee wellness and assistance programs, and access to corporate discounts.
Requirements While not mandatory, a Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance would be well regarded.Blue Card Checks: Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a 'working with children check' from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position.This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.Please refer to the Role Description for further details.
