Your opportunityWe are now looking for full-time or part-time Speech Pathologists based in Townsville, Rockhampton, or Toowoomba, QLD. In this role, you will provide high-quality clinical programs that support a diverse range of clients and families through assessment, diagnosis, therapy, and management. More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Managing a clinical caseload to provide end-to-end careConducting individual assessment and intervention sessionsGenerating accurate clinical reports and documentationAdhering to quality assurance and governance measuresCollaborating effectively with clients, families, and other professionalsEngaging clients actively in their care journey through strong interpersonal and communication skillsContributing to continuous improvement of practices, procedures, and service deliveryCommitting to client safety and quality in service deliveryProviding listening and spoken language therapy as applicableParticipating in ongoing professional developmentAssisting with organisational meetings, student supervision, and program marketing as requiredWhat you needTo qualify, you will need to be a Full member of Speech Pathology Australia, holding a current Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist qualification. Eligibility to pass probity checks, including Disability Worker Screening and a Working with Children Check (Blue/Yellow Card), is also essential.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
Experience as a Speech Pathologist and/or Listening and Spoken Language/Auditory-Verbal Therapist with diverse client groups, especially pediatric clientsUnderstanding of the impact of hearing loss and the Auditory-Verbal Therapy approachStrong relationship management skills, both internally and externallyTraining in evidence-based therapeutic interventionsA current open driver's license, with willingness to travel to other sites as requiredAs our ideal candidate, you will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills that drive client engagement and successful outcomes, as well as a proactive approach to teamwork and collaboration across departments. You will have a commitment to safety, quality care, and continuous improvement, and bring a flexible, agile mindset that aligns with our mission to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals affected by hearing loss.
