About the Role As a result of a growing business need, we have a unique opportunity for a Speech Pathologist available.
This role will be responsible for providing speech pathology services via telehealth to persons presenting with a range of needs, with our main need being for school-aged children in after-school time slots (2pm-6pm).
Working via telehealth, you will be responsible for assessments, programs, and reporting.
You will be provided with access to assessment tools and many more team-curated resources.
A key focus of your role will be to empower clients and their families to make positive choices related to community support and independence.
This role reports directly to the Speech Pathology Team Leader and is a part-time role where you will work from the comfort of your own home.

Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality specialist care to clients to optimise and improve their health and functional outcomesEffectively manage a designated caseloadMaintain client files, inclusive of timely notesLiaise and build rapport with clients, their families, and other members of their support networkProvide a range of Telehealth SP assessments and interventions to assist clients to maximise their independence and wellbeingEvaluate SP intervention programs and modify plans as required to facilitate the achievement of goalsInitiate funding requests for ongoing SP interventionEnsure that clinical processes reflect best practice and are of the highest industry standardAbide by Access Telehealth's policies and procedures, inclusive of incident reporting and complaints management processesDiary management and responsibility for follow-up appointment scheduling to meet client needsAbout You Undergraduate qualification in Speech Pathology1-2 years+ post-qualification experience (PQE)Experience with and strong understanding of paediatric speech needs, preferably within a telehealth setting - there is also scope to work with adults as wellExperience in health, aged and disability sectors, preferably within a community-based and telehealth settingExceptional verbal and non-verbal communication skillsAbility to prioritise and manage a varied clinical caseloadHighly organised and efficientRefined report writing skillsAvailability for up to 20 hours per weekMust be able to cover after school appointments, or weekends are another option for availabilityTo be able to undertake this role you will require the following prior to commencement: NDIS Working Screening Check (NDISWC)Working with Children Check or the Working with Vulnerable People Check (WWCC / WWVPC)Professional Indemnity InsuranceDrivers Licence and a registered and insured vehicleBenefits Employee discounts and benefits within all retail categoriesFlex start/end working timesChoose your hours, and your days - tailor your work week, to best suit youWork from the comfort of your own home - 100% WFH opportunity!Access to study/conference/seminar leave to attend external professional development opportunities per financial yearAdministrative supportWork within a growing business with the potential for future career opportunitiesCompetitive remunerationHow to Apply: If you feel this is the right opportunity for you and you would love to be a part of making a difference in people's lives, click apply now and follow the prompts.
