About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a Speech Pathologist to join the Chronic Disease Palliative Care multidisciplinary team.
The position is based at Redfern Community Health Centre.
The role involves the provision of a community-based service across Sydney Local Health District.
The Speech Pathologist is expected to provide a high-quality service to patients/clients and carers with a life limiting illness.
This will be done through community-based care mainly in the home and at times, virtually as appropriate for the patient/carer's needs.
You will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and management of communication, and education and management of dysphagia with a focus on comfort and safe swallowing at end of life for both patients and carers.
Ideal Candidate
Bachelor or post graduate degree in Speech Pathology that provides eligibility for full membership of Speech Pathology Australia, with experience at Level 2 or higher.Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of clinical care across a wide range of practice areas within Speech Pathology, including late stage degenerative and chronic conditions and palliative care.Current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).Benefits and Perks!
