About this role
This position is responsible for assessing patients, diagnosing swallowing and communication difficulties, and planning optimum speech pathology management. Our service includes both Sir Charles Gairdner and Osborne Park Hospital sites. The role includes:
Providing excellent, consumer focussed Speech Pathology care to allocated caseload.Working collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health staff as part of a multi-disciplinary team.Working closely with Speech Pathology colleagues to prioritise workload.We have services across 7 days and weekend work may be required.
This role reports to the Speech Pathology Head of Department.

Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.
Other Conditions:
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/10/2025.
