Work in partnership to assess, treat & create plans to meet needs. Make an impact on communication activities, participation and quality of life. As one of WA's leading disability support agencies, we're searching for an enthusiastic and dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our Allied Health Team.
The team includes Occupational Therapists, Clinical Nurses and Positive Behaviour Practitioners who work across the metro area, supporting people in our shared living houses.
We offer a flexible working environment; the position can be part-time or full-time, and school hours will be considered for the right applicant.
You will need: NDIS Workers Screening Check Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology Current full registration with the Australian Health Practitioners' Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Experience in the assessment and prescription of aids and equipment Flexible, responsive approach in working with individuals and their families Self-motivated and the ability to work autonomously and as a member of a multidisciplinary team High level interpersonal and communication skills as well as a positive 'can do' attitude Demonstrate a commitment to Identitywa's values The ability to work effectively within a team and manage a caseload Willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Orientation certificate What we can offer: Attractive salary packaging options up to $18,500 pa. Friendly and supportive teams Flexible working options Staff Recognition Program Ample training and professional development opportunities What you'll do: Undertake assessment of participants in shared living and community-based environments Identify needs and implement necessary supports for participants at mealtime; including mealtime equipment, positioning and texture modification in line with IDDSI standards Respond to changing needs of the participants we support including eating, drinking, swallowing and communication Regularly review and assess participants' communication abilities to measure changes and progress over time Commitment to the NDIS practice standards, organisational policies and procedures and code of conduct.
