Location ProfileManor Lakes P-12 College opened in 2009 and is located in Minindee Rd, Wyndham Vale.
The college currently has an enrolment of 3000 students.
The enrolment is expected to stabilise and possibly decline in the primary years (additional primary schools opening in the neighbouring area) and to continue to increase at secondary level.
The backgrounds of our students reflect a cultural and socio-economic diversity.
The college has a Student Family Occupation (SFO) of 0.552 which indicates that there is a level of disadvantage within our community.
Approximately 16% of our student population come from a language background other than English.

All new staff to Manor Lakes P-12 College participate in a comprehensive induction program which clearly outlines the college vision, expectations and pedagogical approaches.

We have 18 relocatable buildings that house 34 classroom spaces across the college.
These are in addition to permanent classroom and specialist buildings as well as staff offices, staff rooms and administration areas.
The outside areas of the College are substantially upgraded and a grounds development plan ensures a systematic approach to further grounds improvement.
Our staff are committed to enhancing their skills and developing their capacity as teachers by involving themselves in professional learning opportunities (external and internal), coaching, mentoring, and being actively involved in Professional Learning Teams and the Professional Learning Community.

Selection CriteriaSC1 Ability to deliver a comprehensive speech pathology service to students and families in an educational environment, including speech and language assessment, individual and group therapy, reporting and the provision of advice on program delivery.
SC2 Experience working with children and adolescents with complex communication needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder and other congenital disorders.
SC3 Capacity to work as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary professional team including Allied Health Assistants and contribute significantly to the achievements of the team.
SC4 Ability to design and deliver professional learning, preferably for teachers and other relevant professionals, in the area of language and communication.
SC5 Excellent communication, time management, networking and interpersonal skills.
RoleAttendance may be required for up to 6 days during school holiday periods.
A leave purchase of 72.47% of the hourly rate will be paid for any additional attendance undertaken during the school holiday periods.
Range 4 is distinguished by broader management responsibility, particularly in the areas of finance, human resource and other support functions.
Range 4 is responsible for managing a range of functions under a wide range of conditions, subject to the size and complexity of school operations.
Objectives will, generally, be clearly defined; guidelines will be broad and day-to-day direction minimal.
Management responsibility extends to ensuring appropriate support levels are maintained across the school.
Range 4 generally provides key support and timely advice to the leadership team and school council and liaises with the general school community, the Department and other government agencies and service providers.
Specialised professional roles will carry a high level of independence and accountability where suitable scope is provided to achieve objectives.
An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students, but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor.
Supervision of students cannot be required except where it is an integral part of the employee's position or involves supervision of students individually or in small groups, in controlled circumstances, where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.
