The position is responsible for:
Providing high-quality Speech Pathology services to inpatients and day patients.Participating in Speech Pathology department, program, and hospital-wide activities to improve the quality and efficiency of services offered.Key Responsibilities: Orientation of new staff to the clinical area.Provision of informal education for staff.Provide supervision, mentorship, and ensure a learning experience for Speech Pathology students within the Speech Pathology Department.Orientation of students to hospital layout and introduction to staff and patients.Supervision of student behaviour, treatment of patients, documentation, and staff interactions.Education of students and coordination of timetable, visits with other professionals, etc.Regular meetings with students and completion of formal assessment.Ensure completion of consent forms by patients whom students see.Adherence to Human Resource related administrative processes.Correct completion of timesheet by midday on the last Friday of the pay period.Daily entering of activity statistics and timesheet.Participation in annual performance appraisal and 6-monthly performance reviews.Completion of leave forms and sick certificates in adherence to hospital policy.Staff will be aware of Hospital and Healthscope policies and Speech Pathology specific policies.Why Healthscope?
