We provide Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Psychology and Allied Health Assistance to the NDIS, Aged Care and Medico-legal community.We place great importance on positive workplace culture and strive to create a compassionate, safe and supportive environment in which to foster shared learning and professional development.WHAT'S ON OFFER

Tertiary qualification in Speech PathologyAHPRA registration or equivalentNational Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check &/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain these)POSITION DESCRIPTION

Provision of Speech Pathology Services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS):Conduct NDIS assessments to accurately determine participant needsProvide therapeutic support to NDIS participants, fostering their communication, independence and well-beingDevelop personalised treatment plans that address the specific needs and goals of each participantImplement evidence-based interventions to improve speech, language, literacy, fluency, voice, and swallowing/eating disordersPrescribe AAC assistive technology and implementAdjust therapeutic techniques based on participant progress and feedback to optimise outcomesClient Engagement and Goal Achievement:Engage with participants, their families, and other support networks to understand and assist in achieving their individual goalsCollaborate with the MDT to set achievable, meaningful goals, promoting engagement and motivationCompile NDIS reports, including Communication Assessment Reports, Swallow Assessment Reports, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Reports, Communication Progress ReportsPrepare detailed reports to advocate for participants' needs, facilitating access to essential funding and support servicesEnsure reports are comprehensive, align with NDIS requirements and effectively communicate the participant's goals, progress, and support needsCollaboration and Multidisciplinary Team Interaction:Collaborate effectively with internal and external multidisciplinary team membersFoster positive working relationships to ensure seamless coordination of care for NDIS participantsEngage in team meetings and case conferences to discuss care plans, share insights, and coordinate servicesAdministrative and Medico Legal Responsibilities:Diligently complete all administrative tasks, including timely and accurate clinical notesAdhere to medico legal requirements, maintaining compliance with industry standardsDocumentation:Maintain meticulous records of treatment plans, progress notes, intervention outcomes, and other relevant documentation as per NDIS standardsEnsure confidentiality and secure handling of all participant informationEducational Material Development and Training:Develop educational materials relevant to speech pathologyDesign and deliver training resources from the knowledge you've acquired from continuous professional developmentContinuous Professional Development:Actively engage in professional development opportunities to stay abreast of the latest research, techniques, and best practices in speech pathologyParticipate in internal training, workshops, and seminars to enhance professional skills and knowledgeThis position requires a dedicated and skilled speech pathologist committed to delivering outstanding services within the framework of the NDIS.
