About the role• Fun, friendly multidisciplinary allied health team• Join an organisation making real change for children and families• Located in Karratha – a boating, camping and fishing paradiseWe are looking for a passionate and motivated Speech Pathologist who is ready to use their clinical skills with a variety of paediatric clients in a supportive, fun environment.Based in the Karratha clinic, you will have a powerhouse of talent and support at your fingertips to allow you to work alongside clients and their families, building strong relationships, to provide assessment and intervention services to paediatric clients with developmental delay and/or disability to achieve real change and improve quality of lives.Our clients' therapeutic needs range from short-term interventions to complex, long-term needs and you will be supported to provide this therapy in a variety of environments which best supports the client and their family's individual needs and situation.Experience and Qualifications• Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology, and current registration with Speech Pathology Australia• Experience managing a general paediatric caseload preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply• Experience in assessment and providing intervention for children with disabilities and/or developmental delays• Self-motivated and adaptable to the needs of each client• Passion for supporting and empowering families in regional WA• Passion and commitment for quality allied health care and continuous improvement• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team• Effective time management, problem solving skills and experience in caseload management• Completion of 100-point identification check, Current Australian drivers' license, the ability to obtain a WA Working with Children Check and the ability to obtain NDIS Worker Screening CheckWhat's on offer• Flexible workplace arrangements – 9-day fortnight/rostered days off/part time options• Additional 1-week North West Leave after 12 months of service• Paid Professional Development Leave – up to 3 days paid leave (pro-rata)• Rural Health West Scholarships available – on acceptance of applications and dependant on eligibility criteria. Up to $10,000 per annum.• Structured clinical supervision – regular line management supervision, regular clinical supervision, peer supervision, multi/trans-disciplinary training workshops every 6 weeks, plus weekly whole team meetings.• Professional growth and development – possible Outreach opportunities, an environment of continuous and lifelong learning• Resources - use of work laptop, work mobile phone (during clinic hours) and vehicle (to attend appointments)• Relocation assistance (claimable through Rural Health West)• Accommodation support (based on eligibility requirements)• Access to quality Employee Assistance Program (EAP) providing free sessions with qualified psychologists to help improve mental health and overall wellbeing• Work in a multidisciplinary team (over 200 years of combined experience) to support the needs of children and their families• Career progression opportunities with a 'promote within' culture• Structured 'end of term' social events
