About the role We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our supportive, dynamic, and values-driven multidisciplinary team.
As a Speech Pathologist in our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership, management, and training skills while working alongside a supportive and certified Speech Therapist as your manager, who will provide ongoing support and guidance.

Key Responsibilities Include: Capacity Building: Support adults with disabilities unlock their potential by providing therapy and training that leads to greater communication, independence, and a richer quality of life, all through the NDIS, DSOA, and other funding systems.Consultation & Collaboration: Become a trusted consultant, offering expert guidance to a variety of professionals, including Able Australia staff, informal supports, and the local community on all things speech pathology and practical support strategies.Creative Planning: Dive into dynamic planning sessions, collaborating on client individual service plans, case conferences, and team meetings to create tailored, innovative solutions that make a difference.Smart NDIS Billing: Master the art of effective billing by ensuring that your time and efforts align seamlessly with clients' NDIA plans and are accurately reflected in their funding.Ethics with Integrity: Champion ethical practice by upholding the highest standards in client care, legal compliance, and professional conduct.Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Share your expertise, mentor staff, and empower your colleagues with the latest in speech pathology, fostering a culture of learning and growth across Able Australia and beyond.Skills and experience required to be successful in this role: Degree in Speech Pathology (or equivalent)Certified Practicing member of Speech Pathology AustraliaAbility to deliver speech pathology in person and via telehealth to people with a disability in all areas of activities of communication and dysphagiaKnowledge of current treatment practices and therapy programs, augmentative and alternative communication, with a commitment to continuing professional developmentAbility to practice reflectively and engage openly in group and individual supervisionExperience providing training, supervision, and support to diverse stakeholdersExperience and knowledge tracking and billing time in CMS (Client Management System)Communicating assessed needs clearly and precisely to clients, and ensuring recommendations meet all legal requirementsBenefits of joining Able Australia: Not for Profit Salary Packaging benefits (pay less tax and take home more earnings)Flexible starting times and working from home options, including a 50% WFH policy17% annual leave loading (get paid more on your holidays) and an additional 2 days of personal leave each yearAble Rewards program offering instant discounts to hundreds of online retailers, including Woolworths, Coles, Kmart, Airbnb, Hotels, and Flights and more!Collaborative and positive team environments where your ideas matterContinuous support and supervision to enable you to develop your career and progressOur values are Trust, Respect, Excellence, and Kindness and we embed these values into all of our work practicesAbout Able Australia Able Australia is a leading provider of disability services across Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland, and the ACT.
