ABOUT THE POSITION: As our existing Allied Health team continues to do amazing work, our referral base keeps quickly growing, creating opportunities to expand our allied health team.
The successful candidate will be given an opportunity to participate in improving other people's lives by delivering high-quality, person-centred services, working with a range of clients across a range of care needs from short-term involvement, to complex, long-term needs.
This will involve, but is not limited to: assessing, diagnosing and managing clients who present with a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders; participation in complex multidisciplinary assessments (e.g.
FASD) providing client support including clinic or home-based sessions, training and resource development; working with low and high tech ACC.
The position is suitable for experienced practitioners as well as recent graduates as we aim to tailor a caseload, supervision and training to our practitioners' specific needs.
While our office base and primary work is in Darwin, we also offer a range of opportunities to work regionally (e.g.
Katherine, Alice Springs) and within remote Indigenous communities e.g.
Maningrida, Gunbalanya.
There is an option to work from home for administration / report writing.

Desirable Experience, Interest and Skills: Experience or interest in working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or experiences of trauma who have complex needs; Experience or interest in conducting Communication assessments, treatment planning and intervention for children, adolescents and adults with a wide range of presentations; and Mealtime Management.
Due to the nature of our business, it is required that our staff: have a current Driver's Licence; have a current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening, or the ability to attain these checks.
