About the role A Speech Pathologist works as part of a multidisciplinary team including other health care professionals to ensure the maximisation of the client's abilities by using skills a client has and working to develop or improve areas of deficit.
To be successful in this role you will need excellent written and oral communication skills, be well organised, a good time manager, empathetic, patient, and able to work independently or in a team. Good problem solving ability and being able to adapt to diverse client groups is also required.
Bathurst Community Health Speech Pathology provides services to children aged 0-18 for communication and feeding difficulties to Bathurst and surrounds, in community health, schools, outreach and hospital settings. The position is situated within an experienced and supportive team.
Depending on skills and clinical interest of the successful applicant there are opportunities to work in the acute setting (paediatric feeding and/or adults).
